Patriots United For Heroes is a non-profit organization co-founded by U.S. Army Disabled Veterans Robert “Bob” Folmar and Ed Crozier. Our mission is to promote public awareness, honor and support of Veterans and First Responders in Texas. We accomplish our goals through various events and activities.
Our major fundraising event is:
THE ANNUAL VIETNAM WAR COMMEMORATIVE RIDE
Which is held on the first Saturday in May to commemorate the ending of the Vietnam War on 5 May, 1975. Motorcycles and vehicles are welcome to participate in this ride. Texas DPS Troopers escort and provide traffic control for the duration of the ride. This event is growing in popularity with a 100 plus mile ride through scenic North Texas back roads with a BBQ brisket dinner at the end of the ride. The highlight of the ride will be a guest speaker and wreath laying ceremony at the Vietnam Wall in Mineral Wells, Texas.
BIKERS FOR THE BLUE, is our Annual First Responders appreciation meal. This annual event is held at VFW Post 4746, 224 Zion Hill Rd in Weatherford, Texas. All active duty and retired First Responders in Parker County are invited and receive a complimentary meal. This event is to recognize, honor and thank them for their service and dedication in protecting our community.
Another event is our ANNUAL VETERAN'S APPRECIATION MEAL, held on the Saturday following Veterans Day. This event is to recognize and honor our Veterans past and present.
These are just a few examples of the work we are involved in. Our mission is funded by retail sponsors and donations from fundraising, as well as members of our group.
